Recruiting for the 2022 class has had some major road blocks. As of right now, those barriers are still making things hard and frustrating for athletes still trying to find a school. But, there are schools out there that are looking to fill specific needs. While every school's scholarship and roster situation is going to be different, there is almost always a high demand for middles at the college level. There are various reasons for this, but this position is usually one college coaches are trying to find and will either by bringing in a freshman or transfer.

Just yesterday I received 3 emails from college coaches that were looking to fill a middle-blocker role on their roster for the 2022 fall season. I would guess that I will be hearing from more and more schools over the next several months that are wanting/needing to add a middle blocker. Now, these schools will still have specific requirements they are looking for, so they aren't taking anyone they find. But it should communicate some sort of positive encouragement to athletes in the 2022 class that coaches are, in fact, still looking.

It's impossible to know what options might become available down the road and we are still in a situation where Libero's and setter's are having the hardest time finding a home.

If you are a middle blocker in the 2022 class and you're still having a hard time finding a place to play, feel free to reach out to me and we can set up a meeting and talk about what possibilities are still out there.
